The Environmental Park of Buçaquinho, between Esmoriz and Cortegaça, has six ponds, a garden of aromatic plants, children's playground, 24 hectares of green. An example of sustainability recognized with a prize of the Green Project Awards 2016 in the category of "Sustainable Cities".

The Moliceiro boat ride in the Ria de Aveiro allows you to get to know the city of Aveiro from the 4 urban channels of Aveiro. These charming boats, with colorful shapes, colors and geometric designs, caricatured portraits. The Moliceiros are boats formerly used in the collection of Moliço (algae from the Ria de Aveiro), but have been losing their use. But Tourism is bringing the Moliceiros back to the Center of Aveiro's economy.
The sponge cake also referred to as spongy cake was created by the Genoese cook Glovan Battista Cabona. In its original recipe was fortifier with eggs, sugar, flour and without yeast or syrup. In Italy, the sweet called Pan di Spagna, in honor of King Ferdinand VI of Spain. In Portugal, there are modified versions of sponge cake recipe that became symbols of these regions, as Alfeizerão, the Ovar, the Margaride and the Arouca.
